This time I came across a 2002 that, not just me, but everyone around couldn’t keep their eyes off.
To put it simply, it sparkled.
This model is a 1970 Left-handed import
It sits comfortably on the border of classic old school and new-age bling. To bling a car up today, you would put big chrome wheels, the size that wasn’t heard of the year that the vehicle was released, and then tackle the suspension to go as low as legally and drivable as possible. With this car the suspension has been lowered but the wheel option was exquisite. Original 13” Compomotives with gold inserts and a polished rim wrapped in white wall 195/60/13 size tyres, proving that sometimes bigger is not always better.
Stance is one of those new-age words referring to cars that have taken their position on the road claiming attention of car lovers in the modifying scene. This car definitely has Stance.
The only changes made to the pristine interior were the Steering Wheel and Gearknob which were swopped for something a bit sportier.
Other than those subtle changes, everything on this car is standard and original.
Even the original M10 2.0 Motor has been retained
The pop-out side windows and rear louver finish this car off perfectly.
I am one for old school cars kept as classic and original as possible, but when someone manages to pull off good style by adding just the right amount of bling to it, I admit to a job well done.
This car attracts attention from everyone. From old timers who remember this car growing up, to new-age school children who prolong a photo shoot just to take their own pics on their cellphones.
Its stunning, and big-ups to the owner who kept this classic from becoming a clichéd rust bucket and a junk-yard ghost.
