Concours 2013
I was once again fortunate enough to attend the Concours D'Elegance hosted by the BMW CarClub of Gauteng.
It is an annual event but the setting was changed this time.
For as long as I can remember, it was always held at Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton City, but its location was now MonteCasino Piazza in Fourways.
Not taking any splendour away from the Nelson Mandela square, but i certainly think that the circular form of the Piazza was better suited for the event. Cars could be parked next to each other and naturally follow a circular pattern. Spaces were allocated and available for extra cars too without hassle.
Colin van Son and his team of car club members did well in the follow up and execution of the event.
As usual there were stunning classics and rare cars that entered the competition as well as on display.
About 47 cars entered on the day,
Every car that was there deserved a prize, but as always only a few can walk away with the silver.
