GEORGE CHARITY INITIATIVE

Our charity initiative in George led us to the Bethesda Child & Youth Care Centre, ….and a truly rewarding experience it was.
The Bethesda Child and Youth Care Centre is a registered NPO :
-Registered for 45 children/youths in Residential Care.
-Registered as a Place of Safety for emergency placements.
-Children placed in care of Child-and Youth Care Centre by legal Court order.
-Children aged 2-18 years are included.
-1 Dormitory-like House and 2 Additional Family Houses for accommodation.
-3rd Family House almost complete and ready for occupation.
-All Basic Needs provided for whilst in our care.
-Care is free of charge.

A list of required items was given to us some weeks prior to the day and we managed to donate 38 Rain jackets courtesy of Mr Faisel Hoosen.
The family of Bazils Transport really made these kids day extra-special by catering eats, treats and gifts for each of the children.
Bazils Transport is a family-run business located in George, and is a reputable furniture-removal company delivering around the country.
It was a heartfelt eye-opener to the reality that there are those struggling all over, and even with a tiny bit of support – a big difference can be made. We need to do more of these initiatives around the country, and we hope you can support us in achieving this goal.
A special thanks to Beryldine Anders for all the liaising and logistics leading up to this day. Especially since it is something that is very dear to her heart....
which is helping others.
