We were recently invited to a private launch of an automotive studio which has recently been though a wonderful upgrade.

Vantage Fine Automotive Art is a company that celebrates the icons of the motoring world, to help individuals capture their passion though custom framework, regalia and motorbooks. They are based in the Johannesburg region.

I have been fortunate to witness the process and progress of this studio over the years, from it being just a vision to a fully-fledged business space,
and I can only say that I was amazed when I saw the finished studio.
The highlight of the launch for me was the cars that were handpicked and invited to display at the Vantage Automotive base.
The theme was a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of BMW ///M which is celebrated worldwide to commemorate 50 years of the BMW Motorsport Heritage.
The iconic M1 from 1978 with 2 other ///M models which shared the same M88 heart as the original ///M car -
THE E24 ///M635CSI & E28 ///M5

South Africa's 1976 530mle was not declared an official ///M by BMW HQ in Germany, but it gave the Gemans the inspiration to create the E12 ///M535i

Chris's super clean E34///M5

A beautiful E39M5

The only red E60M5 in South Africa

Mr Singhs' F10 M5

The timeless peak of BMW ///M engineering ... The E46M3CSL

1 of 39 ACSCHNITZER M COUPE

1M ... Another limited production ///M car and certainly one of BMWs best driving machines.

A South African legendary car - the E23 745i also fitted with the M88 MPower engine from the M1

Colin's E9 3.0CSL on open lug 17" Alpinas brought a ton of prettyness to the event

Clean E46 M3 convertibles are becoming very sought after nowadays

A stunning E36M3 - one of the lightweight first models that came into SA
M.Ozayrs' lovely 4door E36M3

And last but not least . This amazing Johnny Cecotto edition E30 M3
Johann has really done a sterling job in creating a space whereby an exhilarating passion is shared in such a classy and exquisite way. I mean, there are a lot of beauty salons that do not come close to this studio.

So I say again, a huge thank you to Mr & Mrs Venter for the honorary invite.

I wish for them all the best of success for their venture. They put a lot of effort into this.
And also a big thank you to all the owners of these beautiful cars for bringing them out and allowing us to enjoy these timeless classics. Thank you for sharing our passion.
