Synopsis
This unique South African built E30 was built as a modern day interpretation of Christian Danner’s E30 DTM car of 1992.

Professionally built from the ground up and at no expense spared, this Iconic Recreation has been built around an N55 335i engine, coupled to a

5speed H Pattern manual gearbox, electronics throughout by Motec, Professional Race Suspension and Brakes and lightened to 1000kg wet weight.

Performance (running RON 95 Unleaded Pump Fuel) 270kW (Wheel horsepower on a Hub Dyno) at 0,7 Bar boost 450Nm mapped on a linear torque curve for easier drivability

Approx 210km/h Max speed with current gearing

Bodyshell :
Chassis basis - 1986 2 door 320i shell, Highveld sourced and rust free.
Full strip out of all non-required bracketry.
Seam welded new front turret tops designed for integration into the roll-cage and for the Touring Car front strut/damper combination.
Full Chromoly roll cage built through the bulkheads front and rear to the shock towers and supports the rear differential.

Removal of fenders, doors, bonnet, bootlid, cut-out of steel rear quarter panels.
Fitment of lightweight, widebody design, fiberglass quarter panels, doors, bonnet and bootlid.
Preparation for fuel cell fitment in rear floor (spare-wheel-well housing).
Preparation for E46 M3 ABS Pump on gearbox tunnel.
Preparation for Tilton Hanging adjustable bias pedal box.
Preparation for solid mount rear axle carrier and Rose joint suspension elements front and rear.

Engine
Fully rebuilt and modified N55 base engine.
Closed deck block with a 20mm machined deck plate Epoxied into the block.
Carillo Connecting Rods.
CP Forged Pistons to OE Spec (standard compression).
S55 dual oil pumps and modified sump for trouble free, wet sump, no surge engine lubrication.
Standard N55 M2 Turbo.
Engineered to run trouble free on pump fuel (95 Octane at 1250m altitude).

Gearbox, clutch and rear differential
E46 330i 5 speed manual gearbox (direct 1:1 5th gear) with modified bellhousing to adapt to N55 engine block.
Double plate sintered race clutch (Rated to 1000 Nm Torque).
All Aluminum E30 rear differential housing with 3,91:1 final drive ratio. Multi-plate, adjustable pre-load, Limited Slip Differential. Full support front and rear from the roll cage elements.
